Mr. David T. Kim was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in November 2017 and currently serves as Chief Technology Officer and Director, Technical Warfare Center for U.S. Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER).
Before assuming the CTO position, Mr. Kim retired from U.S. Army after serving 29 years. While on active duty his assignments included, Assistant Chief of Staff, G-7, U.S. Army Intelligence & Security Command (INSCOM); Chief, Joint National Security Agency - Cyber Team, U.S. Cyber Command; Commander, U.S. Army Minneapolis Recruiting Battalion; Joint Operations Officer, Defense Intelligence Agency; Chief, Force Modernization, U.S. Forces Korea J-2 (Intelligence); Program Analyst, Intelligence and Electronic Warfare, HQ Department of the Army (G8); and other leadership and staff positions.
Mr. Kim holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and History from Arizona State University; a Master of Science Degree in National Resource Strategy (cyber concentration) from the National Defense University's Dwight D. Eisenhower School; and a Master of Science degree in Information Resource Management from Central Michigan University. Mr. Kim’s military education includes the Command and General Staff College; Junior Officer Career Cryptologic Program; Military Intelligence Officer Basic and Advanced Courses.
Mr. Kim’s awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit; the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (three awards); the Meritorious Service Medal (five awards); the Joint Commendation Medal (two awards); the Army Commendation Medal (two awards); the Saint Isidore Cyber Award (Gold); and the Military Intelligence Knowlton Award.
Mr. Kim is married with two children.
