Col. Jeffrey Noll

U.S. Army Cyber Command

Col. Jeffrey Noll has served as Chief of Staff for U.S. Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER), since June 2024.

Noll was commissioned an officer of infantry from the U.S. Military Academy in 2000. He first served in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C. (redesignated Fort Liberty in June 2023) as a Rifle Platoon Leader, Mortar Platoon Leader, and Company Executive Officer. He deployed to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 82nd. Following the Infantry Captain’s Career Course, he served in 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker) at Fort Lewis, Wash. as a Battalion Logistics Officer (S4), Battalion Assistant Operations Officer (S3), and Rifle Company Commander. He deployed again to Iraq as a company commander with 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infanctry Division (Stryker).

Noll then served with 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment as a Regimental Assistant S3, Rifle Company Commander, and Regimental S3. In 2011, he depoyed to Afghanistan to serve as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Commanding General for Operations for NATO Training Mission - Afghanistan (NTM-A).

After attending the Command and General Staff College, Noll served with 2nd Infantry Division as Battalion Operations Officer (S3) and Battalion Executive Officer. He then completed a joint assignment in U.S. Forces Korea as an Operations Officer for the United Nations Command Military Armistice Commission.

Noll served as a division planner at U.S. Army Alaska before taking command of 2nd Battalion, 196th Infantry, where he advised, trained, and mobilized reserve component forces and served as a Battalion Observer-Controller-Trainer for major United States Army Pacific exercises. After battalion command, Noll taught the Battalion Pre-Command Coursre and Tactical Commander’s Development Course at the School for Command Preparation.

Upon graduating from the U.S. Army War College, Noll was assigned to U.S. Army Cyber Command as the G35/7, responsible for future operations, training, exercises, and readiness.

Noll is a graduate of the U.S. Army Airborne, Air Assault, and Ranger schools and the Joint Forces Staff College and the Combined Warfighting School. He holds master’s degrees from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and the U.S. Army War College.
