Mr. Steven D. Rehn serves as U.S. Army Cyber Command’s Deputy to the Commanding General - Support and the ARCYBER Chief Data Officer.

He retired as a Colonel from the Army in May 2019 after 30 years of uniformed service. He received his commission as a Military Intelligence officer after graduating from the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, in 1989.

A seasoned leader with over two decades of experience in military intelligence, cybersecurity, and information technology, Mr. Rehn served in key tactical and strategic roles within the U.S. Army and Department of Defense. His career began with distinguished service as a Military Intelligence officer in the 82nd Airborne and 1st Armored Divisions. Transitioning to technology leadership, he directed information assurance for the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and managed critical communication systems for First U.S. Army, including Defense Support of Civil Authorities operations. At the National Security Agency, Mr. Rehn served as a Division Chief for Security Engineering, contributing significantly to the Department of Defense Information Security Architecture. His leadership extended to U.S. Africa Command, where he oversaw all network operations as the Enterprise Support Division Chief. Culminating his military career at the Pentagon, Mr. Rehn served as Chief, Cyber and Space Programs within the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology, and finally as TRADOC Capability Manager for Cyber, spearheading the development and management of critical cyber capabilities for the Army and joint Force.

Entering federal civilian service in 2019, Mr. Rehn served as Deputy Director and Senior Advisor for Cyber and Electronic Warfare within the Cyber Capability Development Integration Directorate (C-CDID), subsequently leading the directorate as its Director. In 2021, Mr. Rehn was appointed to the Senior Executive Service as Director of the Technical Warfare Center and Chief Technology Officer for Army Cyber Command.

Mr. Rehn holds master’s degrees in Systems Management-Information Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology and in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.
